Good bye Jakarta! | May 2015

Image
It was an early morning flight, so we just took naps for a bit. Hotel gave us a take away breakfast box which contained Nutella and colourful sprinkles on top of a bread. I could barely touch it for a bite but I just had to. Thank goodness for Teh Botol Sosro to wash down my food, it was too sweet for my liking but what the heck!  I was still too sleepy when we got to the airport. Felt like a panda walking through airport ticket counters and immigrations. Something caught my eyes though. I remembered chatting with Imsy ( a nickname for a music buddy of mine ) who recommended food that I need to try in Indonesia. So this is one of it. Bakmi GM. I didn't get to try the non fast food bakmi but this one will do for now. It was nice for my savoury taste.  Walked around till it is finally the call to go home.  Definitely not my last visit to the Indonesia.

Lunch, Indonesian Style! | Jakarta | May 2015

Image
Truth be told, I am not a fan of this. Yes, I eat hot and spicy and all but this, not really. But it is my first time here. Although we have this back home as well, I don't think it is the same as the authentic, original ones here. I was game enough to have this 'Nasi Padang' with Soursop Juice along. Oh, lunch was at Salero Jumbo in Jakarta by the way. Overall, it was good, not bad at all.

Ladies and A Little Girl Night Out

Image
Felt like it was a long day at work but it didn't stop me there. It been ages since my sister and I, cousins and niece last hang out for dinner or something. Life as an adult, so caught up with own things these days. We all went out for a Japanese dinner. Had a great time talking with great food and I always end up ordering 'Unagi'. *grins*

Who's gonna eat all this?

I was having too much cooking and I end up cooking too much and no one is going to eat it. -_-   Fried Rice, Fried Macaroni Mamak Style and Sweet+Savoury Macaroni Salad

No rice but still....

This is what I had for breakfast and dinner. No rice but still fattening. I need to have the ability to control the amount of portions I am about to consume. Gah! If only it was that easy. Well not for me. :(

April Fool's Meals

Sweet breakfast to hype up and pumped for an energetic day  and cook a great meal for dinner.

After church with the family :) Butter Fish With Rice Mix Vegetable With Mushroom

It's a soda day :D

When it comes to drinking cream soda, I find Ben Shaws a favourite.   Since Lemon flavour was not on the shelf, I might as well take the classic one instead.  I am no fussy drinker, so classic it is. Taste as good :)

Busy days ahead, busier than you ever thought, you could only wish that time will eventually stop for just a second,  just for a while. Yeah, you could only wish for that. Things will be worth it soon, no worries. Monday blues aside, let's look it as bright as the sunset. Positivity is more like it. And you should sometimes..... Why not reward yourself with a home-cooked meal today? :) Chicken in Rice Wine Soup and Green Spinach

Productive Sunday!

Image
Sunny day at Inanam. Chinese food. Dim sum on a Sunday and prawn chee cheong fun.  Chili sauce and shrimp paste on the side. My typical favourite breakfast with the family. And some tea to wash off the gluttony on the plate guilt after. I can't go a day without Chinese food. Cooked late lunch (or was it for early dinner? :p) today while tuning in to Malaysian English Top10 on Hitz.FM with Arnold Loh. I found myself singing, updating tweets and cooking in between. Multi-tasking is sure no easy job but it's a way to go sometimes. *smiles* Here's the food menu for the day: Chicken and Fried Beancurd in Soy Sauce , Sweet Corn, Sinigang na Isda ( Fish Sinigang) & Vegetables and Sausages cooked Oyster Sauce. Sweats and let it burn.  Stairs exercise again for the evening. Just in time for Sunday Sessions with two of my favourite singer-songwriters, Narmi and Reza Salleh on Live Streaming. Always love it when they were singing familiar song
